Projenz is a professional services company providing engineering, planning, project management and management services to both private and local government clients.

Projenz is a New Zealand company, owned entirely by the Directors and Staff - all New Zealanders committed to living in and making New Zealand a better place.  We have developed a very inclusive environment, with the personal touch of smaller business owners who operate without obvious boundaries and who also treat their clients’ business as if it were their own.

All of our staff have technical backgrounds, whether surveying or engineering and also including Autocad draughting, civil and transportation engineering roles. All three Directors have engineering degrees and our business lines are managed by graduates in technology or science.
 Every project requires a variety of skills and people and we find survey and engineering graduates prove to be very capable in rising to lead teams and manage projects.

We hire via the net, our web page and occasional adverts in leading newspapers. Most often we hire senior people through direct referrals or contacts as they wish to join a leading company that provides a distinct culture where people enjoy themselves. We look for leading performers with a track record of delivering peak performance. Our biggest challenge is handling growth.

We offer a variety of work types whereas other consultancies tend to focus staff into strict disciplines. A variety of work and training means staff are always challenged.

We provide training for whatever course or topic each staff member requests within their field of work. Regular opportunities arise for inter-office swaps and all types of mentoring as promoted by IPENZ and other technical organisations are promoted. We will pay for one professional membership. Travel with work, and bonuses for work well done are also offered.

We often compete in Duathlons and other events together, and have held Projenz sponsored mid year and end year functions that include ski trips, a winter Ball and end of year weekends away.
Most of our team are very sport orientated which goes hand in hand with the way we work and socialise – we are active people. Projenz also sponsors a junior rugby club in Dunedin.

Projenz currently has a summer student working with us and we have assisted students through university in the past.
