Mr Gumbrell will assist in the development of technical courses, and develop FPGA based projects for use in technical instruction of electronic design practitioners.

VIP: GHD Consultants
A team of consultants from GHD will assist in the teaching and practical elements of a one semester course called Design Studio 2. They will also provide direct advice to student teams on conceptual designs.

Dr Madni will present seminars to students, talk with university staff about course content and meet with FRST personnel.

VIP: Warwick Banks, Structural Engineers, Carter Holt Harvey
Mr Banks will participate in block courses on industrial timber buildings and multi-storey timber buildings.

University of Waikato, Department of Materials and Process Engineering/ School of Science and Engineering
VIP: Dr N Navaranjan, Mechanical Research Scientist, Ensis Papro
Dr Navaranjan will teach the application of the finite element method and collaborate with staff on plans for postgraduate research projects.

Massey University, Institute of Technology and Engineering
VIP: Chris Chitty, Managing Director, Robotechnology Limited
Mr. Chitty continues the work begun on a VIP funded project in 2005.  This year he will give lectures, help with revision of course content and tutor students in mechatronics.
