University of Auckland - Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering
VIP: Dr. C Y Chin, Technical Manager-Geotechnical Engineering, AECOM NZ Ltd.

Dr Chin is a past Chairman of the New Zealand Geotechnical Society.  He will draw on his expertise to assist the University of Auckland's Geotechnical staff with lectures, share industry observations, review the undergraduate curriculum, and bring people up to date on state-of-the-art seismic retaining wall and foundation design.

University of Otago - Department of Information Science
VIP: Prasan de Silva, Enterprise Architect, Telecom

Prasan de Silva will make two visits to the University of Otago’s Department of Information Science to give lectures on Next Generation Mobile Architectures. He will also participate in the weekly Computer and Information Science seminar series and be involved in discussions regarding research opportunities in telecommunications.

University of Canterbury - Bioprocess Engineering
VIP: Dr. Robert Dempster, Regulator Affairs Manager, Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health Ltd

Dr. Robert Dempster will follow up on a previous VIP visit to the University of Canterbury. He will give five lectures to a Bioprocess Engineering class, participate in an open seminar on vaccine development, and review and update the contents of the Bioprocess Engineering curriculum.
