Futureintech supports maths, science, technology and careers teaching

Futureintech brings technologists, engineers and scientists into schools as Ambassadors for their industries. These volunteers can provide inspiring first-hand careers information for your students and support your teaching of maths, science and technology subjects.

Our Ambassadors can:

  • provide an engaging 'real world' context for classroom learning
  • answer the 'why do I have to learn this?' question
  • use their specialist knowledge to answer difficult questions
  • provide extension for more able students

We can support a range of curriculum areas including:

  • Maths
  • Sciences: Physics, Biology and Chemistry
  • Technology
  • some topics in Environmental Studies and Geography such as sustainability, energy conservation, earthquakes, GIS and transport studies

Futureintech Facilitators co-ordinate industry visits to schools

Our Facilitators engage with technology, engineering and science-based industries in order to recruit volunteer Ambassadors for school visits. They then train and support the Ambassadors to be effective role models for their industry when talking to students.
