Futureintech supports maths, science, technology and careers teaching
Futureintech can support your teaching of the maths, science and technology curricula and provide inspiring first-hand careers information for your students.
Our eight Regional Facilitators engage the technology, engineering and science-based industries in order to recruit volunteer Ambassadors for school visits. The Facilitators then train and support the Ambassadors to be effective role models for their industry when talking to students at primary, intermediate and secondary schools.
In addition to careers talks, our Ambassadors can enhance and extend your students' learning in many areas of the curriculum including:
- Maths
- Sciences: Physics, Biology and Chemistry
- Technology
They may also be able to support some topics in Environmental Studies and Geography such as:
- sustainability, energy conservation and water
- earthquakes, volcanoes and soils
- transport studies
Futureintech Ambassadors can provide context for classroom learning - giving the answer to 'why do I have to learn this?' - and use their in-depth knowledge to answer difficult questions and extend more advanced students.
If you are teaching a topic this year that includes material in Maths, Science, Technology or a related area, why not ask your Regional Facilitator to arrange an Ambassador visit to provide 'real world' context, engage your students and enhance their learning?
