Royal Society of New Zealand
The Royal Society offers a variety of funding for students and teachers, including the R. H. T. Bates Postgraduate Scholarship and the Talented Secondary School Students Travel Award.

Zonta International
Zonta offers international and local awards for young women going into tertiary study. This includes the Young Woman in Public Affairs (YWPA) award, the Amelia Earhart Fellowship for woman studying aeronautics or aeronautical engineering, and the Zonta Women in Science Award for post-doctoral study.

Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ)
IPENZ offer a number of scholarships and awards for students studying engineering, both at undergraduate and post-graduate level. Click here and here for more information.

Australian Hydrographic Society
Each year the Australasian Hydrograhic Society offers an Education Award of AUD$2,500. The award is open to students studying, or proposing to study, within a broad range of maritime, surveying and engineering disciplines.


NZ Institute of Surveyors Rotorua/Bay of Plenty Branch Scholarship
The Rotorua/Bay of Plenty branch of the NZ Institute of Surveyors offers a scholarship to encourage students to consider a career in Land Surveying. A maximum of two $1,000 scholarships are offered each year to students who attended a secondary school in the Bay of Plenty region (Tauranga, Whakatane, Rotorua and Taupo).

Edna Waddell Undergraduate Scholarships for Women in Technology and Engineering
The purpose of the Scholarships is to provide funds to help women begin to study for degrees in engineering and technology at New Zealand universities. The Scholarships are for women entering their first year of full time study for an undergraduate degree. Each Scholarship will be for one year, the initial year of study.

The Scholarships are intended for school leavers and for mature women who have not previously studied technology and engineering at this level. For mature women, preference will be given to those who have worked in industry for at least three years and / or have passed sub-degree courses in technology or engineering.
