How Futureintech Ambassadors can support maths, science, technology and careers teaching
This section provides examples for teachers and careers advisers of what Futureintech Ambassadors have offered primary and secondary students in maths, science, technology and careers. There might be something here that inspires you and although we can’t guarantee a particular Ambassador or session we can guarantee a positive learning opportunity for your students.
Our examples are organised by approximate year level, give the aim of the session/s, resources, a time frame and illustrate how the Ambassador was involved. Food Technologist Rob did a session with Year 10 Science students on molecular gastronomy, showing the students how to make a liquid gel by mixing calcium chloride and alginate.

Brendon, a software developer at Fortress Information Systems took part in a video conference at Columba College to speak to Year 13 students taking NCEA Level 3 ICT in computer studies.
Careers with science
Ambassador Sarah from Scion had senior students at Reporoa College looking at termites, as part of a series of visits where students explored science-related career pathways.
