IXOM is a manufacturer, supplier and service provider to mining, construction and infrastructure industries. Formerly known as Orica Chemicals Ltd, we’re based in Australia and operate in more than 50 countries, employing over 15,000 people worldwide.

In New Zealand, IXOM provides mining services and general chemicals. Our head office is in Auckland, and we have a watercare manufacturing plant in Morrinsville and chemical plants in Mt Maunganui and Timaru.

Our business requires people with science and engineering knowledge. We employ technology, engineering and science graduates in a wide ride of roles, including research & development, manufacturing, design, commercial, account management and sustainability.

As our business continues to grow, we’re always looking for great people to join our team. We are interested in graduates with good academic results, extracurricular activities, personal motivation and a strong interest in our industry.

Although individual work is required in every job, our culture is very team oriented. We keep our staff by offering a variety of work, career opportunities, a good work culture and other benefits. We provide career development at all levels, including technical training and graduate development workshops each year to develop leadership skills. We also have strong mentoring and buddy programmes.

Our graduate programme operates on a 12-month rotation around different sites in New Zealand and Australia. It develops graduates’ technical and leadership capabilities, providing them with the necessary skills to have a successful, challenging and long-term career. Graduates are provided with a competitive, challenging and rewarding experience with real responsibility.

We encourage technology, engineering and science students to seek as much work experience as you can while studying – start to learn how to apply your academic knowledge early on. IXOM offers summer work for university students.
